I've always loved creating beautiful spaces.
Long before launching Niche Designs, I was the friend helping rearrange furniture, choose paint colors, source lighting, and pull together rooms that felt both beautiful and functional. That instinct for creating started long before I ever called it design — I've always been drawn to making things with my hands, whether it was a weekend DIY project or a full renovation of my daughter's playroom. It was never work. It was where I went to slow down and make something beautiful out of something ordinary.
For nearly 20 years, my career lived in a very different world: public health. As a project manager and team leader, I worked both internationally and across the U.S., leading complex, high-stakes initiatives — including the rollout of the world's largest vaccine program during COVID and management of the largest HIV program globally, alongside work with a corporate foundation. I'm a highly organized, technically proficient professional who thrives in fast-paced, high-pressure environments, and I built a career on managing complex projects from concept through completion.
Niche Designs is where those two halves of my life meet.
I'm bringing the same rigor, structure, and calm-under-pressure project management I built over two decades in public health, and applying it to something I've always loved: creating spaces that feel considered, personal, and alive.
I've also always loved hosting. There's something about pulling together a table, a room, an evening for the people I love — paying close attention to every last detail — that lights me up. I thrive in a space where I have to think through the details and can create a curated space for friends and family to gather. For years, friends have told me I should do this professionally. I'm finally taking their advice.
As a homeowner and mom of two, I understand the realities of busy households, evolving needs, sentimental belongings, and real-world budgets. I believe your home can be elevated without feeling precious, personal without feeling cluttered, and beautiful without sacrificing function.
Every client I work with has their own taste, and that's exactly where we start. My job isn't to recreate my own aesthetic in your home — it's to help you discover, articulate, and refine what already feels like you, whatever that looks like.
That said, if you're curious about my own point of view: my style is colorful and collected, rooted in timeless architecture and craftsmanship, but layered with personality rather than tied to one specific period. I draw inspiration from Craftsman, Mission, cottage, Spanish Colonial, and classic American Colonial interiors, blending those influences in a way that feels warm, distinctive, and personal.
I love rich color, color-drenching, bold contrasts, mixed metals, and varied natural materials. Rather than chasing trends, I gravitate toward spaces that feel enduring but not overly formal — thoughtfully layered, full of character, and designed to evolve beautifully over time.
My goal is simple: to create homes you'll love coming back to. Let's design your niche.
